Class Offerings

We are currently offering professional level classes for members.

Drop ins are welcome for a suggested donation of $10 for virtual classes or $15 for outdoor classes

These classes are free/donation based offering of the Isthmus Dance Collective - part of our mission to enrich our community through dance. Donations are accepted through PayPal, Patreon, personal check, or cash in the basket.


 

Sunday Adult Class
(Wil-Mar Center)

Class varies between ballet and modern techniques
taught by IDC collective members on rotation

Aimed at students who have completed a minimum of two years of beginner level classes or have previous ballet experience. Students should have a clear understanding of ballet terminology and basic technique.

Dance at a Glance
(MyARTS)

Mondays 6:30PM Central

Sec. I: Children ages 8+
Sec. II: Teens (15+) and adults

Enroll in IDC’s Dance at a Glance at MYArts and experience a new rotating form of dance every four weeks:
from Indigenous Mexican Dance to Ballet,
from Flamenco to American Modern Dance to Tap.
The end of every four-week period will include an informal showing.

Get your kids moving with curiosity and self expression with the dynamic dance artists of the Isthmus Dance Collective.

Thursday Ballet (MCS)

Thursdays at 9:30am Central

Intermediate/Advanced Ballet technique
taught by IDC collective members on rotation

Aimed at IDC members, MCS members and guests who have completed a minimum of two years of beginner level classes or have previous ballet experience. Students should have a clear understanding of ballet terminology and basic technique.

Rotating Dance Forms

IDC classes offered for free to IDC members, MCS members and guests in a variety of dance forms and techniques (depends on teacher)

Cunningham-Based Modern Class in the Park (seasonal)

Saturdays at 10:30am Central

Cunningham-Based Modern Class in the Park
taught by collective member Erica Pinigis at George Reger Park

Dancers will challenge their technical comfort zones with Cunningham based training that promotes large, free torso movement coupled with quick, balancing, and complex lower body movement. Dance big outside in the grass and get a little brain workout too with dancerly coordination challenges.
